Welcoming a New Finance Administrator
We have recently welcomed Martha Phillips to the Hershey Free Church staff as the new Finance Administrator. After being born and raised in southern California, Martha and her family moved to Pennsylvania last May.
Martha’s past experiences in accounting have included working with a number of businesses such as a mail order supply company, a Christian school, a flower shop, and a community college. “God has gifted me to be naturally organized and methodical,” Martha explains, “which lends itself well to working in the accounting field. The local church has always been a second home to me. The union of the two creates an exciting job opportunity that I am thoroughly enjoying. I’m thrilled that God has led me to here.”
Speaking about specific goals in her new role, Martha says, “My desire as Finance Administrator is to continue the history of excellent accounting at Hershey Free Church and to continue to modernize and streamline our processes where possible. I also seek to provide timely and caring service to the people of Hershey Free Church so that God’s resources will be best utilized to the work he’s established here.”
When not at work, Martha is usually found spending time with her husband, Bob, and their two school-aged daughters. Other favorite leisure-time activities include cooking, scrapbooking, reading, writing, gardening, and making music.
