Doing Life Together in KidStep Parent Connect
September 2017 was the launch of the KidStep Parent Connect Group, which meets the first and third Sundays of each month to create opportunities for friendship and spiritual growth. Our main goal is to provide opportunity for transformation, not simply passing on information. The interaction around the tables as we discuss what we are learning is fantastic. It is exciting to be growing together as we learn to walk in a manner worthy of our calling in Christ.
Allen and Tiffany Dark describe the experience this way: “KidStep Parent Connect has helped us connect and dive deeper with new people in our same life-stage. We get to fellowship together and participate in a group-based study that is relevant for what we’re all going through. This informal ‘come-as-you-are’ class has enabled us to get to know people we’d otherwise just pass in the halls each week. It’s been a great way to make a big church feel smaller, and has made us better parents, too!”
If you are the parent of a child in KidStep (birth through fifth grade) and you’re looking to connect with other parents, check out KidStep Parent Connect this fall. KidStep Parent Connect meets the first and third Sundays of each month at 9 AM in room 302. We’re also starting a group for parents of students in CORE Student Ministries (sixth through twelfth grade). Student Parent Connect will meet each week at 10:30 AM in room 401, starting September 16.
