Baptism

At the Hershey Free Church, baptism represents a believer’s public confession and celebration of faith in Jesus Christ as his or her personal Savior and symbolizes new life in Christ. Baptism is an opportunity to celebrate the work of Christ in your life with your church family. Together we encourage each other, rejoice with you, and walk alongside you in your journey.

A two-session course is offered on Sunday mornings. The sessions explore the scriptural basis for believer’s baptism. Attendance at these classes does not commit an individual to be baptized, but is expected prior to baptism. Each person being baptized is asked to give a brief recounting of his or her journey to faith in Jesus Christ to church leaders at the second session. We then use video to record these testimonies and show them as a part of our indoor baptism experience.
