Sunday Celebration
Children from two years old through 6th grade celebrate through a time of worship and learning at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Preschool and kindergarten-age children meet in the Early Childhood Wing. Learning stations incorporate guided play as the primary teaching method. The 4- and 5-year-olds participate in a large-group worship experience and hear a Bible story. They talk about how to apply the lesson in small groups with their "shepherd." First through 4th grades meet in Master's Hall, and 5th and 6th grades meet in Sonrise. They begin with a time of worship and Bible lessons, then interact with their "shepherd" in small groups where they will be asked to apply the lesson, pray together and share how Jesus is helping them make godly choices.
Wee Worship
This teaching time allows children to participate in worship with their families and then attend an age-appropriate class. During the 6:30 p.m. service, children 3 to 5 years old attend the worship portion of the service with their family. Then a parent escorts them to room 201 for Wee Worship.
Nursery
A nursery is available during Sunday morning and evening worship services and during most "all-church" events. It is located off the Canopy Lobby along the left-hand side of the sanctuary. The nursery is staffed by volunteers who provide a safe environment where your child will receive quality care while experiencing the love of Jesus.

Kids Klubs
Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. during the school year, children in 1st through 6th grades are invited to a fun-filled time of games and activities that will build positive relationships with adults and peers. Girls for Christ (GFC) and Christian Boys in Action (CBA) are programs that stress learning and application of God's Word. It's also a time for children who regularly attend church activities to invite their friends from school or neighborhood to join in the fun and Bible teaching. Children must register for the program, and there is a small fee.
Hilltop Christian Nursery School
The nursery school reaches out to children and their parents through a small classroom setting in a Christian environment. Using the pre-school wing of the Christian education facilities, the school serves over 100 students. Contact the school director, Becky Chocklette, at 533-8956, or visit the HCNS Web site for more information.

Toddler Story Time
Children ages 4 and under and their parents are invited to a story time the second Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary lobby. For more information, e-mail Anne Marie McAlester, or phone 533-4848
God's Project Children's Choir
God's Project, the choir for 2nd through 6th graders rehearses on Wednesdays during the school year prior to Kids Klubs from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. in the auditorium. God's Project performs occasionally during worship services and participates in church musicals. Registration information is announced in the Sunday bulletin prior to the fall and spring seasons.
Special Events
Additional activities are scheduled throughout the year to offer children opportunities to learn and grow spiritually. These include a winter "Chill-out Retreat" for 5th- and 6th-graders, summer day camps for elementary-age students, a week-long summer camp for 4th- to 6th-graders at Camp Orchard Hill, summertime Backyard Clubs and a summer one-day basketball clinic. Event dates and details are announced in the Sunday bulletin.
Publications
Children should look for the special "Just For Kids" bulletin at the worship services. They will find Bible activities related to the sermon and announcements just for them. "Nursery News" is published quarterly for parents of infants and toddlers, as well as nursery workers.
