The Christmas Tree
Sunday Sermon Series

When you think about the Christmas story, images of the angel coming to Mary, shepherds approaching the manger, and wise men following a star may come to mind. But when you read the Gospel of Matthew, the Christmas story begins with 17 verses of family history. It’s a part of the Bible we often skip. This Christmas season we will dig into the family history of Jesus. As we look at this genealogy, we will see people just like us grafted into Jesus’ family tree. We will be reminded of God’s grace. We will be challenged by the fact that being a part of Jesus’ family includes participation in his ongoing mission.
