Connect Groups

Women’s Groups

Our Women’s Ministries connect opportunities are designed to not only teach but also encourage and equip the women of our church to move out into their communities and make an impact for Christ. We want all women to know that they are a part of community of believers. We want to walk with you, challenge you and support you as God moves in your life and heart.

Tuesday Women’s Connect from 9:30 to 11:30 AM in the auditorium. Light refreshments and child care provided. The winter/spring session begins on January 16 and meets through April 24. We will be studying The Good and Beautiful Community by James Bryan Smith, which will help us to understand the connection between knowing God’s Word and practicing God’s Word. Our focus will be on the second part of the greatest commandment, to love your neighbor as yourself. You may purchase the book The Good and Beautiful Community for $15 on hfcinfo.com or buy it on your own.

Wednesday Women’s Connect from 7 to 8:30 PM in room 10. The winter/spring session begins on January 17 and meets through April 25. We will be looking at Abide: A Study of 1, 2, 3 John by Jennifer Wilken. These three short books in the Bible have much to teach us about the depth of our Father’s love and what it means to abide in him. Register on hfcinfo.com.

Moms Connect provides an environment for mothers of preschoolers to grow in their faith and be encouraged, challenged, and equipped as women, wives, and mothers in the name of Jesus Christ. It also gives opportunity for them to connect with other moms, share mothering ideas and suggestions, and be guided by mentor mothers’ wisdom and experience. This group meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday during the school year from 9:30 to 11:15 AM in the auditorium. For our regular meetings, limited childcare is available for a fee. Moms Connect currently has a waiting list. Contact Karen Stover at 717-460-5676 for information.

Men’s Groups

The purpose of Men’s Connect is to equip men to be Christ-centered leaders at home, work, church, and in their communities. We seek to provide ways for men to grow in their faith. We hope to encourage husbands, fathers, and sons as they walk their journey of faith.

Tuesday Men’s Connect from 6 to 7 AM (breakfast included) in Core Cafe. The winter/spring session begins on January 9 and meets through May 22. This group will be discussing current sermon series topics. No registration is required.

Thursday Men’s Connect from 7 to 8:30 PM in Room 404. The winter/spring session begins on January 4. No registration is required.

Adult Groups

Creative Arts Gathering was developed because we believe that God created all people to create. We also believe God has uniquely gifted some people in creativity. This gathering is a place for you to have a safe space to share and create as part of the body of Christ. Your contribution to the body through creative arts matters. So we are inviting all creative-types and artists, no matter what your discipline (painting, graphic design, writing, dance, photography, music, film and all others), of every skill level, high-school-aged and up to attend a monthly gathering. At this gathering we connect with Jesus and build community with one another through the discussion and experience of the arts. We share, mentor one another, critique and encourage each other in our own artistic expressions of our shared faith. We meet the third Friday of the month at 7 PM.

Precepts is an inductive Bible Study where members have the opportunity to fellowship and engage with one another while deepening their walk with Christ. We meet Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 AM in room 10. This winter/spring we will be focusing on the books of Galatians and Romans.

Senior Adult Bible Fellowship offers an opportunity monthly for fellowship around God’s Word and through worship using some familiar hymns. The Bible Fellowship meets the first Wednesday of each month from September through June at 10:45 AM in the auditorium, followed by lunch at noon.

Senior Adult Strength Training uses stretch bands of various tensions to help those with limited mobility to regain and maintain strength and flexibility. Please note that anyone over age 70 will need to have their doctor’s clearance to participate. Strength training is held every week on Monday and Thursday, 11 AM to 12 PM in room 302. Questions? Sunday Connect

We know that attending a new place can be intimidating, and it is our strong desire to help you form connections and relationships at Hershey Free. Our Sunday Adult Connect Groups are a great place to start. These groups meet every Sunday morning and are a great way to begin to get to know a smaller group of people and study God’s Word together. The classes meet during the 9 and 10:30 AM services, so it is possible to attend a group and worship on Sunday morning.

They are based on life stages. We have groups for college-aged, millennials, parents, adults, and senior adults.
