Alpha

In-Person Mondays, March 15 – May 17 | Core Cafe | 7 to 8:15 PM
Online via Zoom Thursdays, March 18 – May 20 | 7 to 8:15 PM

Alpha is a series of sessions that focuses on different questions around faith and is designed to create conversation. As a church, we know the importance of being together and building friendships. We also believe that one of the best ways you can learn about Christianity, explore some of life’s deep questions, and discover things about faith in Jesus is by being with other people asking questions. Alpha is an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your perspective in an honest and open environment. There is no cost for Alpha but we do ask that you register. If you have any questions about faith, Christianity, or just need someone to talk to before Alpha begins, contact Dave Hyatt or phone 717-533-4848.

Women’s Groups

Our Women’s Ministries connect opportunities are designed to not only teach but also encourage and equip the women of our church to move out into their communities and make an impact for Christ. We want all women to know that they are a part of community of believers. We want to walk with you, challenge you and support you as God moves in your life and heart.

Women’s Morning Connect meets on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. We will begin a new study in the fall.

Women’s Evening Connect meets on Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 PM. We will begin a new study in the fall.

Moms Connect meets on the second Monday of the month from 7:30 to 9 PM in room 401 or via Zoom. In addition to the Monday meetings, small groups will also meet a second time during the month in each of their groups’ preferred format (in-person or via Zoom). Moms Connect provides an environment for mothers of preschoolers to grow in their faith and be encouraged, challenged, and equipped as women, wives, and mothers in the name of Jesus Christ. It also gives opportunity for them to connect with other moms, share mothering ideas and suggestions, and be guided by mentor mothers’ wisdom and experience. There will be no refreshments or child care available. There is a $5 fee to cover expenses. Contact Moms Connect leadership with any questions.

Men’s Groups

The purpose of Men’s Connect is to equip men to be Christ-centered leaders at home, work, church, and in their communities. We seek to provide ways for men to grow in their faith. We hope to encourage husbands, fathers, and sons as they walk their journey of faith.

Men’s Morning Connect is a small group format for discussion on a variety of topics. The small groups will meet on Tuesday mornings in local restaurants. The four locations are Palmyra, Hershey, Hummelstown, and Elizabethtown. Exact times will vary depending on the location. If you are interested in joining a group please email Nik Schatz to get connected.

Men’s Evening Connect meets Thursday evenings from 7 to 8:30 PM beginning January 7. The location will be determined before each meeting or you can join the meetings via Zoom. For location and topic info, contact Rich Broomell at (717) 989-1877, or Carl Thomas at (717) 572-8781.

Senior Adult Groups

Senior Adult Strength Training, Band Together, is a group that uses stretch bands of various tensions to help those with limited mobility to regain and maintain strength and flexibility. Please note that anyone over age 70 will need to have their doctor’s clearance to participate. Strength training is held every week on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 AM to 12 PM in room 302. For more information, email Craig Koskela or call 717-533-2092, ext. 2028.

Sunday Connect

We know that attending a new place can be intimidating, and it is our strong desire to help you form connections and relationships at Hershey Free. Our Sunday Adult Connect Groups are a great place to start. These groups are a great way to begin to get to know a smaller group of people and study God’s Word together. They are based on life stages and average 20 to 50 people. The classes meet during the 9 and 10:30 AM services, so it is possible to attend a group and worship on Sunday morning.

Sunday Connect Groups will begin meeting on Sunday, January 10.
