This is a recent update from Andrew Nilson, one of Hershey Free Church's supported missionaries. Andrew and his wife, Marie, will be visiting with us on Sunday, August 11, and will be in Connecting Point between services. Everyone is also invited to lunch at 12 PM that day, when Andrew and Marie will share more about their ministry.
We saw God move not only in the lives of the people we served but also in the lives of our team.
There were moments on this trip I wish we could bottle and share with everyone: one of our students getting saved, many students getting right with God, students taking bold steps to talk to strangers about Jesus, many hours serving in a poverty-stricken community, and a powerful foot-washing ceremony. This is the disciple-multiplying process in action.
During the team’s time in the village, Brenda, Florence, Katie, and Caitlyn worked with the full-time onsite staff (also the pastor of the village) to teach lessons on topics such as general hygiene, germs and wound care, food preservation, healthy relationships, protecting children from trafficking, and creating businesses for goods and services missing in their community.
I love Center for Champions because it’s simply about building relationships and living life alongside a child who might otherwise feel alone.
